Phillauri - Movie Review

Hello everyone this week we will talk about Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri. As a producer Phillauri is her second movie after critically acclaimed NH10 so obviously for her there is lot on stake.

Now the story goes something like this. There is a boy Kanan (Suraj Sharma) who just came to India to merry his childhood love Annu (Mehrene Pirzada). Kanan has some fault in his stars to in order for him to merry Annu he has to merry a tree first. Kanan finds these ritual ridicules but his family forces him to follow this ritual. After his wedding with tree a beautiful ghost Shashi (Anushka Sharma) begin to haunt him and now Kanan has to manage his personal life with a ghost luring around him.

If we talk about acting Anushka Sharma is heart and soul of this Movie. She is looking beautiful and she plays the most charming ghost I have ever seen in my life. Do you remember that guy from movie “Life of Pie” who was stuck on a boat with a tiger, yes that boy is Suraj Sharma and he Plays Kanan. Personally I believe he is a great actor and he is capable of performing more challenging roles than this. He is not bad in this movie but I just feel like anyone could have played Kanan.

This movie begins with a loud Punjabi wedding. In that wedding everyone is Dancing, Shouting and drinking without any good reason. There is a grandmother who is always drinking and she is talking about her sex life. A grandmother talking about her sex life that is the last thing I want to watch on screen. There is a mother who is always shouting at someone and running here and there so those first 15-20 minutes of this movie is pretty exhausting.

This movie has 2 problems with it. First problem is story. Story is straight there are not enough twists and turns to keep you engaged and second problem is its pace. This movie is ridiculously slow. The climax sequence itself is 10 minutes long and those 10 minutes feels like forever so this movie can really check your patience.

So you can go for Phillauri if you are a diehard Anushka Sharma Fan otherwise I would suggest to give it a pass.

And last guys if you are a superhero maniac just like me. I mean I love superhero stuff and if you also like superhero stuff like T-shirt s, Refrigerator Magnets or pillow covers etc. check out www.posterboy.in they have a great range of products.

Thank you so much. That’s it for now see you all nest time till then “Be a gentlemen and respect women”.

5 WORST BOLLYWOOD MOVIES OF 2015

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone, as Christmas celebration are going on 2015 is about to end. This year was no different from any other years in Bollywoodg, we saw some spectacular movies and we also witnessed some disasters. We will talk about 2015’s best movies next time but today let’s talk about the biggest disasters of this year.

SHAANDAAR: if we are talking about disasters I cannot even think about missing this one. Honestly speaking I have seen some pretty bad movies like Saawariya, Tees Maar Khan, Ungly, Happy Ending etc. This movie is so bad that you will even feel ashamed of listening to its songs in public. Vikas Bahl who gave us movies like Chillar Party and Queen is the same man who gave us this SHAANDAAR NIGHTMARE.

ROY: The trailer of this film was looking promising, people were expecting a large scale mind game, over the top romance and some obsession stuff. All the songs were chartbusters nothing could go wrong but after the first screening the ship sank itself. The content and story plot was so shallow and slim that it gives you an instant feeling for anger and frustration and after watching this all you wanted to do is go on twitter and Unfollow the entire star cast.

BOMBAY VELVET : Anurag Kashyap who is one of the finest film makers of Bollywood, and he gave us his dream project worth a whopping budget of 120 Crores. Simply Bombay Velvet is one of the most expensive movies of 2015. Everyone expected great things from this one like “gangs of wasseypur”. Everything was wrong about this movie nothing makes sense and it was simply the worst movie of Anurag Kashyap.

ALONE : Personally I am not a big horror genre fan yet I found this one appealing and went for it. That was simply my worst decision on 2015. Makes tried to make a “HORR-TICA” which is “HORROR” and “EROTICA”. In this movie horror sequences didn’t scare me and romance sequences didn’t excite me at all so it was simply one more bad take of horror movies in Bollywood.

KIS KISKO PYAR KAROON : Film Makers “ABBAS-MUSTAN” tried to cash comedian Kapil Sharma’s popularity by making a movie (a whole movie) starring him as lead actor. Kapil Sharma I must admit he is a god gifted comedian but it doesn’t mean that he can act too. From this movie my only expectation was a few giggles but instead of giggles all I got was headache pure headache.

BOMBAY VELVET MOVIE REVIEW

Friends I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Finally Anurag Kashyap is back with his ambitious dream project Bombay Velvet. Before you watch this movie you have to understand one thing that Anurag Kashyap has his own distinct way of filmmaking he in no Karan Johar or Rohit Shetty but it does not mean he is not talented according to me Anurag Kashyap is one of the finest filmmakers of Indian cinema.

First of all Bombay Velvet’s biggest attraction is not Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma or Karan Johar its Anurag kashyap’s direction. It’s the first time when Anurag Kashyap is making a movie on this big scale and this movie will decide his future or should I say his playground.

Bombay Velvet is again a typical Anurag Kashyap movie with weird characters and twisty story line. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the character of Johnny AKA johnny Balraj who wants to become a big shot a street fighter and wants to be with Rosie (Anushka Sharma) who is a Jazz singer. And with them we have Karan Johar who is playing the character of Kaizad Khambata.

Ranbir kapoor is just average in this movie his fans will be disappointed but on the other hand Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar are amazing. I was excited to see Karan Johar acting on screen and he is outstanding.

The story of Bombay Velvet takes place in Mumbai 1960. One thing which is really amazing in this movie is Art direction the way they created retro era on screen is simply brilliant.

All and all Bombay velvet does not match Anurag Kashyap standards. Only a typical class of audience will enjoy this movie.

NH10 TRAILER REVIEW

After creating so much buzz finally Anushka Sharma starrer NH10 trailer is out, I hope you all have seen it if not its on YouTube go for it.

NH10 strange name right? I was thinking the same but NH10 stands for national highway 10. NH10 is a story about a normal couple who lives normal life in a socialize way but all of the sudden everything around them changes and now they have to survive in no law land.

The really liked the trailer. In NH10 we will see Anushka Sharma’s other side. All these years she is been doing all good girl characters but this is the first time when she is really doing something different and more realistic. As long as the trailer is concerned I am very satisfied with Anushka Sharma’s performance.

NH10 is directed by Navdeep Singh who previously directed Manorama Six Feet Under that movie didn’t work on box-office but was highly praised by critics.

In lead roles we have Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam and this movie is produced by Anushka Sharma so obviously this movie is a big deal for Anushka. This movie has a cameo appearance of Deepika Padukone and its releasing of March 6.

PK OFFENSIVE OR EYE-OPENER

I watched PK on its first day of release and it was thought provoking and a solid stroke on our mentality. PK is a film about GOD and GODMAN. While watching PK I didn’t feel offended. But recently Prashant Patel secretary of Hindu legal cell filed an FIR against Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir Khan, Sidharth Roy Kapoor and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Mr. Prashant Patel thinks that in PK lord Shiva have been portrayed in a wrong way.

He alleged that in PK there are some disapproving comments on Hindu rituals. Also the dialogue from the film “jo darta hai vo hi mandir jaata hai“has been mentioned in FIR.  There are many people who think the movie promotes love-jihad.

First of all I would like to tell offended people that everyone has different views on religions. The movie doesn’t say that God does not exist but it says that our way of worship to god is wrong. PK says that the way we are living is wrong and with valid argument but people don’t like to be proven wrong so they feel offended.

First of all PK is not about any particular religion it’s about all the religion. I live in Gujarat so I still have memories of 2002 “ Godhra Kand”. 2002 is a burning example of our differences caused by religions. PK says that we are not bound to follow rituals shown by God men. I am sure God men will definitely find PK offensive because if this movie changes our mindset they will run out of business.

So do you feel PK is offensive how let me know in comments…

SALMAN KHAN COMMENTS ON PK

Hello guys first weekend of PK is over now and by Saturday the movie collected approximately 57 crores. According to wikipedia PK was made on a budget of 85 crores. I don’t know if you realized it or not but tickets of PK are very costly according to Box-office reports ticket prices are all time high. And when media asked Salman Khan about PK’s ticket rates he said something like this.

“The ticket rates should not be so high that a common man can’t afford. The movie should not be for the profit, it should be for the audience entertainment, we had kept average rate for the Jai ho! For the audience and not for our profit.”

And there are many theaters that declined to screen PK because of its high ticket rates. Maratha Mandir and mini-multiplex Gaiety Galaxy have reject to screen PK saying it’s not for Aam Aadmi due to its high ticket rates.

There are mainly only two purpose of making a film first is to entertain audience and second is to make profit. But common man has nothing to do with profit he just want to get entertained if you  make the tickets so costly audience won’t go to theatres, they will go for piracy and it will be a huge impact on their profit. so filmmakers should think about common man  before raising the ticket prices

PK BEST MOVIE OF 2014

PK last big release of 2014. And believe me it’s the best movie of this year. The movie has already created lots of buzz among movie goers, ticket prices have been increased and it’s the biggest release of Bollywood so far 6200 screens only in India and its all set to break all previous Boxoffice records. And it’s an Amir Khan movie so people expect nothing less than a great film and PK successfully fulfills all your expectations.

In PK Aamir Khan is PK his name is not PK but he behaves like a drunk so people calls him PK. Amir Khan is an alien who came to earth to observe humans and their behavior. He has a radio control with that he can contact with his space ship but that radio control is stolen now he is helpless on earth without anyone to help him. He is struggling to survive with humans and also need to find his remote control for rest you have to watch the film.

Amir Khan is playing PK and he is amazing in his character as always. He is doing funny thing but by his face’s expressions you can say that he is in deep pain and no one can help him. There are many scenes when he doesn’t say anything he acts so naturally without dialogues he simply acts with face expressions and his eyes. With Amir we have Anushka Sharma who is playing a role of a journalist Jagat Janani and she is also great.

Rajkumar Hirani’s movies always have a strong social message but important thing is his unique way of delivering the message. In PK he defines the difference between Gog and God man. But he handles this sensitive issue with such care that no one feels offended and yet it’s fun to watch. There are few moments when he almost makes you cry and there are some moments when he makes you laugh breathlessly so all and all his direction and vision is great.

So all and all PK is again a masterpiece by Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan and you will regret if you miss this one

PK poster explaind

Aaamir khan's movies are always most awaited films of year.

Last year Dhoom 3 and this year it's PK.

But this time Aamir Khan is back with Rajkumar Hirani. This duo gave us best movie of all time 3 idiots.

By now there are only 2 posters have been launched. By those posters what we can assume?

In this first poster Aamir is standing all naked with only a radio in his hands. A guy who don't care of cloths carry an old radio so one thing for sure this radio will play a vital role in this film. Even the PK is written in a strange looking circle which looks like this lead is trying to learn something.

And one more thing we know that Amir is playing an alien in this film.

Now Amir is standing on a railway track so he is fearless and his face expression is strange looks like he is staring at something and he is in shock. He is standing all alone even there is no one in background which means he is alone by his heart.

And we can also say one thing for sure that in this film Aamir's dressing sense would be absurd and he will act funny but not intentionally.

And as it is a Rajkumar Hirani film this man will definitely give us a strong social message but in a funny way.
And I think this movie will surely describe what human and humanity is.
