Salaar - Movie Review

Salaar, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Prashanth Neel, is a cinematic masterpiece that catapults the audience into a riveting world of crime, power, and revenge. The movie, set against the backdrop of the rustic landscapes of the underworld, unfolds a gripping narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.

At the heart of Salaar is the brilliant performance of its lead actor, Prabhas, who effortlessly embodies the character of Salaar, a ruthless and enigmatic crime lord. Prabhas's on-screen presence is commanding, and his portrayal of Salaar is both menacing and magnetic. The actor successfully navigates the complexities of his character, delivering a performance that adds depth to the film.

The film's narrative is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with intense action sequences seamlessly woven into the plot. Prashanth Neel's direction is nothing short of spectacular, as he skillfully blends elements of drama, suspense, and adrenaline-pumping action. The screenplay is well-crafted, keeping the audience hooked from the opening scene to the final credits.

Salaar boasts high production values, evident in its visually stunning cinematography and meticulous attention to detail in set design. The film's soundtrack complements the narrative perfectly, enhancing the overall cinematic experience. The choreography of the action sequences is top-notch, with each fight scene choreographed to perfection, showcasing Prabhas's prowess as an action star.

While Salaar is undeniably an action-packed thriller, it also delves into the moral ambiguity of its characters, adding layers to the storytelling. The supporting cast, including talented actors like Shruti Haasan and others, contributes significantly to the film's success.

In conclusion, Salaar is a tour de force that raises the bar for Indian cinema. Prabhas's stellar performance, combined with Prashanth Neel's visionary direction, makes Salaar a must-watch for fans of intense, gripping cinema. It's a cinematic triumph that not only entertains but also leaves a lasting impact, firmly establishing itself as a milestone in the world of Indian cinema.

Atomic Blonde - Trailer Review

Hello guys Last night “Atomic Blonde” first trailer came out if you did not get a chance to watch it here it is have a look, and if you have already watched it we can skip this part and begin our discussion. Here is my review of Charlize Theron and James McAvoy starrer The Atomic Blonde.

The Atomic Blonde is based on Antony Johnston’s 2012 graphical novel “The Coldest City”. To be honest I did not get a chance to read the novel but after watching the trailer I think I should give it a chance, it would be cool experience.  Now the trailer begins in a hotel room where Charilze Theron is surrounded by 3 guys and just by the looking at the situation you know something bad is going to happen. After few seconds Charlize takes a gun from ice bucket and BOOM BOOM she kills all 3 guys.

Charlize Theron is playing Lorraine Broughton a highly trained assassin who can kick anyone’s ass with a gun, fist or if she doesn’t have anything handy than her shoe. She is killing guys with gun, beating guys in hand to hand combat, doing some really death defying stunts, using her spiked shoe as weapon and last but not the least making love with a women. Yes you are right she is playing lesbian.

She is on a mission to track down all the double agent and guess what like all other secret agents she cannot trust anyone. The trailer really picks after James McAvoy’s appearance. James McAvoy is also playing a secret agent who is located in Berlin and falls in love with Charlize after just few encounters but she is more interested in Sofia Boutella.

So all and all by the trailer The Atomic Blonde looks like a cool summer action movie. Have you watched the trailer? What do you think about it? Please let me know in comments. That’s it for now see you all next time till than “Be a Gentlemen and respect women”.

Thor: Ragnarok - Teaser Review

Hello people, last night Thor Ragnarok’s first trailer came out and it’s gone viral within just few hours and why not?  its Thor from Marvel Cinematic Universe and this time with a new hair cut. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet here is it.

So the trailer begins with our beloved God of Thunder all chained up and he looks like hell. In next sequence he throws his hammer (Mjölnir) at Hela. Now we all know what happens when Thor shoots his hammer at someone but this time things goes sideways. Hela catches Mjölnir with just one hand and with that hand she destroys Mjölnir into pieces. Now Mjölnir is gone, Thor without his hammer it’s just hard to imagine but it happens.

One more thing which I would like to discuss is Hela played by Cate Blanchett and she looks badass. He has two looks in the trailer one when we can see her face and the other one with all those big horns.  Makers wanted to introduce us to a new powerful villain and the first thing she does, she destroys Mjölnir. We cannot ask for more powerful introduction.

Later in trailer she says “Asgard is dead” and with a thud of her scepter she destroys a huge part of Asgard. In comic books Hela is Loki’s daughter I am not sure they will use that aspect is the movie but that explains her alliance with Loki.

In the last part of the trailer Thor is in this huge arena where he is ready to fight whatever or whoever is on the opposite side and here comes our beloved Incredible Hulk all angry and roaring. After watching Hulk to everyone shock Thor is shouting in joy “I know him, he is friend from work”. Now Thor should not be happy he should be afraid because now he has to fight with Hulk without his Mjölnir.

So all and all I really liked this trailer and I am all set and excited for the movie. Have you watched the trailer? What do you think about it? Please let me know in comments. See you all next time till than “Be a gentleman and respect women”.

Half Girlfriend - Trailer Review

Hello guys, much awaited trailer of “Half Girlfriend” is finally out and here is my review. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet here it is take a look.

Half Girlfriend is based on celebrity novelist Cheatn Bhagat’s bestseller novel of same name. If you ask me there was a time when I used to be a big time Chetan Bhagat fan but then he became judge of Nach Baliye and he lost my respect and even that was not enough he appeared on Comedy Nights Bachao as a guest so other comedians can roast him and he lost whatever respect left. I understand only one thing writing is one of the most sacred and respected art form so If you are a writer you have to maintain your intellectual integrity you just can’t behave like a television celebrity who  always seek media attention and you are not even supposed to do that.

Now let’s talk about the trailer. Half Girlfriend stars Arjun Kapoor as a small town boy “Madhav Jha” and “Shraddha Kapoor” as a high class open minded Delhi girl “Riya Somani”. Both of them are coming from two whole different worlds and they have only one thing in common their love for Basketball. At first they begin to practice basketball together, Madhav falls in love with Riya knowing that she is way out of his league. Madhav proposes Riya, Riya says “I can’t be your girlfriend but I can be your half girlfriend” and rest of the story follows Madhav’s effort to make Riya his full girlfriend from half girlfriend.

Chetan Bhagat has written many bestsellers and out of all those Half Girlfriend is my second least favorite because unlike his other stories in this story he is not at all talking about corrupt society or rotten education system. Half girlfriend is just a love story and when I was reading that book I could feel that Chetan Bragat wrote this book keeping one thing in mind “This is going to be a feature film one day”.

Half girlfriend is directed by Mohit Suri who is now judge of “Nach Baliye”. Mohit Suri’s specialty is to capture pain of love on screen and he is doing that same thing in Half Girlfriend. He has given Half Girlfriend that “Ashiqui 2” theme where everyone is in pain and shouting and crying. One thing which really stood out for me was Arjit Singh’s soulful vocals in background I simply loved that song.

So all and I liked this trailer and I am waiting for the movie which is releasing on 19th may. Have you watched Half Girlfriend’s trailer what do you think about it please let me know in comments.

Hindi Medium - Trailer Review

Hello guys few days ago Hindi Medium’s trailer came out starring Irrfan khan. If you people know me you might know that Irrfan khan is one of my favorite actors. His acting method and dialogue delivery is impeccable. If you have not watched the trailer here it is.

While watching the trailer one quote really struck me that was “In this country English is not a language it’s a class”. And we all know it’s kind of true. People who know English they are using it and people who don’t know English they are learning it and still using it which is funny sometimes. I can understand that English is a global language and if you have to go with flow we must know the language. It’s ok if we use English but we should not ignore our Mother tongue. So please do not take people who don’t use English for granted. Let’s take Kapil Sharma’s example, people are saying that he is kind of comedy and if you follow him you know how bad his English is. So it’s not necessary that if you know English you are smart and if you don’t know English you know nothing. English is just a language not knowledge,

Now let’s talk about the trailer. By the trailer it looks like a story of a family. There is an upper middle class couple who wants their daughter to study in a great school and they are trying everything to make that possible. Now here is one more question what defines a good school? If you ask me a good school is a place where a child can grow mentally, emotionally and physically. If a school’s building is fancy, they have a lot of activities going on it doesn’t mean it’s a good school.

So  this family is trying their best to get their daughter in a so called “Good English Medium School” but all their efforts are failing now they have only one option left which is to apply from “Below Poverty Line Quota”. Yes it does sound ridiculous and funny but from a parent’s point of view it’s not funny. Parents will do anything or sacrifice anything for their child’s future.

So to apply from “BPL Quota” they start acting poor. When they are acting poor they realize that poor people might be poor they might not have lot of resources but they are still humans and they are more loving and united than we are. So all and all i really enjoyed the trailer and I am looking forward to watch this movie.

Phillauri - Movie Review

Hello everyone this week we will talk about Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri. As a producer Phillauri is her second movie after critically acclaimed NH10 so obviously for her there is lot on stake.

Now the story goes something like this. There is a boy Kanan (Suraj Sharma) who just came to India to merry his childhood love Annu (Mehrene Pirzada). Kanan has some fault in his stars to in order for him to merry Annu he has to merry a tree first. Kanan finds these ritual ridicules but his family forces him to follow this ritual. After his wedding with tree a beautiful ghost Shashi (Anushka Sharma) begin to haunt him and now Kanan has to manage his personal life with a ghost luring around him.

If we talk about acting Anushka Sharma is heart and soul of this Movie. She is looking beautiful and she plays the most charming ghost I have ever seen in my life. Do you remember that guy from movie “Life of Pie” who was stuck on a boat with a tiger, yes that boy is Suraj Sharma and he Plays Kanan. Personally I believe he is a great actor and he is capable of performing more challenging roles than this. He is not bad in this movie but I just feel like anyone could have played Kanan.

This movie begins with a loud Punjabi wedding. In that wedding everyone is Dancing, Shouting and drinking without any good reason. There is a grandmother who is always drinking and she is talking about her sex life. A grandmother talking about her sex life that is the last thing I want to watch on screen. There is a mother who is always shouting at someone and running here and there so those first 15-20 minutes of this movie is pretty exhausting.

This movie has 2 problems with it. First problem is story. Story is straight there are not enough twists and turns to keep you engaged and second problem is its pace. This movie is ridiculously slow. The climax sequence itself is 10 minutes long and those 10 minutes feels like forever so this movie can really check your patience.

So you can go for Phillauri if you are a diehard Anushka Sharma Fan otherwise I would suggest to give it a pass.

And last guys if you are a superhero maniac just like me. I mean I love superhero stuff and if you also like superhero stuff like T-shirt s, Refrigerator Magnets or pillow covers etc. check out www.posterboy.in they have a great range of products.

Thank you so much. That’s it for now see you all nest time till then “Be a gentlemen and respect women”.

Commando 2 - Movie Review

When I first saw its trailer it made me excited because it’s not every day that Bollywood offers such action movie made on this scale.

The story goes something like this, after the demonetization some rich, powerful big heads hires a man named Vicky Chadda to launder all their black money overseas. Now government of India wants all that money to come back to India and to do that they have to bring Vicky Chadda to India from Thailand. To accomplish that mission they assemble a team of expendables which includes obviously our antagonist Commander Karanvir Singh Dogra (Vidyut Jamwal), Bhavna Reddy (Adah Sharma), ACP Bakhtawar (Freddy Daruwala) and a Hacker named Zafar. Will they succeed in their mission to know that you have to watch this movie.

First of all this movie is all about Vidyut Jamwal who obviously need no introduction. we all know what he is capable of and Commando 2 is a huge showcase of his looks and skills.  His is running, jumping, breaking bones and doing all unbelievable things while looking hot at the same time. If you are a Vidyut Jamwal fan you are in for a treat I know there aren’t a lot of Vidyut Jamwal fans out their but with this movie he will make lots of new fans.

Apart from Vidyut Jamwal we have Adah Sharma. She is in this movie just to add some humor and glamour and she tries to make audience laugh with her funny accent which I did not find funny at all but you might find her funny.

Commando 2 is directed by Deven Bhojani. In case you don’t know him, Do you remember that chubby Gattu from Baa Bahu Aur Baby? Yes he is Deven Bhojani and considering it’s His first movie as a director he did a great job. His vision throughout the whole movie was crisp and clear “Lest make an Enjoyable and cool action movie”.

There are few things I really liked about this movie. First this movie knows what it is. Makers wanted to make a fun, Stupid, mindless but cool action movie and they did make a Fun, stupid, mindless but cool action movie. Second thing this movie has no songs. So no romantic song drama or no item number crap just two hours of back to back action. Third the makers made an action movie but they played on their strength they focused more on hand to hand combat which is more enjoyable.

So all and all if you want to spend some time with your friends go for it, Sit back, relax, shut down your brain and the key is to keep your expectations low. If you liked this article I have made a video about it check that out its right here.

So Have you seen Commando 2 what do you think about it let me know in comments. Next week we will talk about Badri Ki Dulhania till then “BE A GENTLEMAN AND RESPECT WOMEN”
