Half Girlfriend - Trailer Review

Hello guys, much awaited trailer of “Half Girlfriend” is finally out and here is my review. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet here it is take a look.

Half Girlfriend is based on celebrity novelist Cheatn Bhagat’s bestseller novel of same name. If you ask me there was a time when I used to be a big time Chetan Bhagat fan but then he became judge of Nach Baliye and he lost my respect and even that was not enough he appeared on Comedy Nights Bachao as a guest so other comedians can roast him and he lost whatever respect left. I understand only one thing writing is one of the most sacred and respected art form so If you are a writer you have to maintain your intellectual integrity you just can’t behave like a television celebrity who  always seek media attention and you are not even supposed to do that.

Now let’s talk about the trailer. Half Girlfriend stars Arjun Kapoor as a small town boy “Madhav Jha” and “Shraddha Kapoor” as a high class open minded Delhi girl “Riya Somani”. Both of them are coming from two whole different worlds and they have only one thing in common their love for Basketball. At first they begin to practice basketball together, Madhav falls in love with Riya knowing that she is way out of his league. Madhav proposes Riya, Riya says “I can’t be your girlfriend but I can be your half girlfriend” and rest of the story follows Madhav’s effort to make Riya his full girlfriend from half girlfriend.

Chetan Bhagat has written many bestsellers and out of all those Half Girlfriend is my second least favorite because unlike his other stories in this story he is not at all talking about corrupt society or rotten education system. Half girlfriend is just a love story and when I was reading that book I could feel that Chetan Bragat wrote this book keeping one thing in mind “This is going to be a feature film one day”.

Half girlfriend is directed by Mohit Suri who is now judge of “Nach Baliye”. Mohit Suri’s specialty is to capture pain of love on screen and he is doing that same thing in Half Girlfriend. He has given Half Girlfriend that “Ashiqui 2” theme where everyone is in pain and shouting and crying. One thing which really stood out for me was Arjit Singh’s soulful vocals in background I simply loved that song.

So all and I liked this trailer and I am waiting for the movie which is releasing on 19th may. Have you watched Half Girlfriend’s trailer what do you think about it please let me know in comments.

HAIDER MOVIE REVIEW

“ Haider is a film which rarely happens in bollywood “

After watching trailer I was excited for this film and after hearing appreciation from everyone about the film I was bound to go for it and it was not a bad decision at all.

Here is what i expected from it's trailer
HAIDER TRAILER REVIEW

Haider is not a film which is liked by everyone around here , even in the theater while watching Haider when I looked around I can see only two type oif audience one who were enjoying the film and second type of audience was sleeping. So in short haider is a typical multiplex audience film only a specific class of audience will enjoy this film.

Now the entire film takes place in the beautiful locations of Kashmir and believe me Kashmir in Haider really looks like heaven on earth.

Now the story takes place in around 1995. Haider (Shahid Kapoor) returns home from aligadh and when he returns he finds that his house is now only a pile of shit than he finds out his father  DR. Hilal Meer (Narendra Jha ) is now a militant and missing. Haider tries to find his father than a mysterious person Roohdar (Irrfan Khan ) meets him and tells Haider that his father is dead. Roohdar also tells Haider that his mother and uncle Khurram (Kay Kay Menon) has killed his father and his father has asked him to take his revenge by shooting bullets in Khurram both eyes for the rest you have to watch Haider.

The story of Haider itself has multiple layers but Vishal Bhardwaj handles every layer excellently and every character in Haider has different kind of personalities and director captures every shade of every character on screen brilliantly.

Now acting portion , every person  who is playing a role in Haider has delivered best performance especially    Shahid Kapoor this film will become a benchmark in his career , apart from Shahid Kapoor we know every one else in this movie Tabu , kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan they are great actors but Shahid Kapoor simply steals The Show.

One more thing which I really enjoyed Iis Bismil Bismil song this song is such a treat to watch on big screen. Songs of Haider are verry soulfull they Convey the feelings of characters and they comes on right point of time which is simply amazing.

There is only one problem with Haider “it’s really very slow”.

All and all if you are a fan of art movies than you must go for it. Or if you want to see a great movie with great acting than also you must go for it.

Haider will definitely get a place in my list of best movie of this year.

Have you seen it…?
What do you think about Haider…?

HAIDER TRAILER REVIEW

So finally Vishal Bhardwaj is back with his latest film Haider and it's trailer is out so here is my review of haider's trailer.

As a person i love Vishal Bhardwaj movie they are dark they make sense and they have a meaning. Haider is Vishal Bhardwaj's third film of his William Shakespeare's trilogy first was Maqbool , second was Omkara and third is Haider based on William Shakespeare's well known play Hamlet.

While watching the trailer i couldn't stop myself of praising Shahid Kapor's performance. On screen sometimes he is doing some crazy things but whatever he do you cant stop loving him. Let me tell you one thing about Shahid Kapoor that you have to make him act he wont act by himself. But once you utilize his ability he can easily steal the show.

The movie has some very big and some very talented names in it like Irrfan khan , Tabu , Kay Kay Menon and Shraddha Kapoor after wacthing Ashiqui 2 and Ek Villain we can easily say one thing that Shraddha Kapoor can act and can deliver excellent performance without much effort.

The trailer has the same Vishal Bhardwaj tone, dark shade characters, crazy dialogues and characters doing some crazy thing on screen. One thing which is remarkable about Vishal Bhardwaj movie that it doesn't have any extra ordinary characters but they have common people as character to them you can easily relate. When you can easily relate to a character you just don't watch a film but you can actually live the life of character which is going on screen.

Most of the film is shot in Kashmir so one thing for sure after watching this film you will feel an uncontrollable urge to visit Kashmir.

In the trailer Shahid Kappor is in 3 characters first in a common lover boy, second is according to me is a terrorist and the third character even i cant understand what it is. Shahid Kapoor will portray the role of price Hamlet and if he is as good as shown in trailer we will swoop all the awards in this award season.

I like this trailer because it doesn't reveal much of its story plot but only make you curious to watch film.
If you haven't watched the trailer yet here it is check it out . And please come to the comment section and let us know what do you think about it.
